We look forward to meeting new groups coming over for the first time and welcome back all of those who are returning to take part again in our memorable and transformational programs!

Getting to Galiano Island

map

Galiano Island is located midway between Vancouver and Victoria in the beautiful Strait of Georgia. It is part of the Southern Gulf Islands and has a population of approximately 1000 people.

As such, it is the perfect location for outdoor, environmental education. Galiano Island (Sturdies Bay ferry terminal) is easily accessible by ferry from Tsawwassen terminal on the mainland or from Swartz Bay terminal on Vancouver Island.

For ferry times and reservations call BC Ferries toll free at 1-888-223-3779  or visit the BC Ferries Website.

Bring your school ID on the ferry! Travelling students with valid school IDs and are 18 years or younger (ie. not in post secondary) can travel for FREE from Swartz Bay to Galiano. Schools travelling from Tsawwassen can apply for special discounts by calling BC Ferries at 1-888-223-3779. To learn more about student discounts visit the BC Ferries Fares: More Information page.
