Join Knowledge Holder Marya Luby for a guided Medicine Walk through the Galiano Conservancy’s Nuts’a’maat Forage Forest\, a living classroom of native plants\, relationships\, and reciprocity. \nTogether\, we’ll explore the rich understory that sustains the forest: the medicines\, foods\, and teachings found in the plants that quietly hold the ecosystem in balance. Marya will share insights about respectful harvesting\, Indigenous perspectives on land stewardship\, and the natural rhythms that connect people and place. \nThis gentle outdoor experience is part of the Restoring the Balance project\, which supports Indigenous stewardship and cultural learning across Galiano’s landscapes. DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars for our Spring Plant Sale on Saturday\, May 9th\, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Millard Learning Centre\, where you’ll be able to stock your garden with a wide selection of native and food-bearing plants.\n\nThis plant sale is in collaboration with the Seed Library of Galiano (SLOG)– organically grown\, non-GMO\, regionally resilient and genetically diverse seed varieties will be available.\n\nOur knowledgeable staff will be on hand to answer your questions\, and help you make the right decisions for your home landscaping and gardening projects!\n\nOur current Native Plant Inventory is available HERE. (Please note that the Food Forest inventory has not been updated yet and some of the plants listed may not be available).
