Higher Tide Vol. 3: One Island, One Earth
Are you curious about the size of Galiano’s Ecological Footprint? Or how many earths it would take to live if everyone lived like a Galiano resident?
Come join us on Sunday, June 5th from 2-4pm at the Yellowhouse, where we will be presenting the results of the One Island, One Earth project. We will be discussing the Galiano Island community’s Ecological Footprint, Biocapacity, and themes that have come up through our oral history interviews, as well as breaking down the different components of the study.
We are very excited to share all of our results with the community. All of the displays will remain in the Yellowhouse for an open house which will take place from June 5 – 12. There will be interactive displays, art pieces, large maps and art created by the children from the Galiano community school. We encourage everyone in the community to come join us.
Project partners: BCIT EcoCity Centre, Global Footprint Network, Lelum Sar Augh Ta Naogh, and Future Ecologies.
