Location: Millard Learning Centre (10825 Porlier Pass Road)

Join us on Saturday, April 23rd in-person at the Millard Learning Centre on Galiano Island for our Spring Herbal Harvest workshop. Learn the art of decoctions and infusions in this spring-edition, herbal beverage-focused workshop.

Walk and learn how to identify, and ethically harvest native plants. Take a tour of our Food Forest permaculture garden and learn what herbs you can grow at home to make tasty and medicinal herbal recipes like the ones in demonstrated in this workshop. Make and take home samples of a tasty and anti-microbial Alder honey (pictured left), bubbly and gut-friendly fermented ginger bug soda and your very own herbal tea blend made from local native species and Food Forest plants.

Need a place to stay before or after the workshop? Spend the night at the Millard Learning Centre’s Frontcountry campground. Rent any camping gear you’re missing from us.
