Four Walk Times – More time & space to enjoy the music!

This year we are introducing four musical walking times staggered throughout the day. With less traffic on the trail you’ll have more time to immerse yourself in instrumental and natural coastal forest melodies along the way.


Walkalong Ticket Details

Due to COVID-19 mass gathering restrictions, all event attendees must pre-purchase tickets to participate in the Musical Walkalong for Learning.

Each walk is limited to 50 event attendees. We will update this website page when tickets for each walk time are getting low and when the walk time is full.

Ticket holders may only participate in the walk time that is on their ticket. Ticket holders who show up for the wrong walk time will be asked to leave the Learning Centre and return later for their correct walk time.

Upon arriving at the Millard Learning Centre, all ticket holders must check-in at the Registration Booth within the check-in/start time period listed on their ticket. Each walk’s check-in/start time period is 45 minutes, which will give everyone lots of time to show up and start their walk.

All walkers will have 1 hour and 30 minutes after they check-in to enjoy Walkalong activities before they must leave the Millard Learning Centre. For example, if you check-in at 10AM, please be make your way back to the parking lot by 11:30AM.

Ticket purchasers must either be able to tell us the first and last name of the person who bought the tickets or bring a printed/digital copy of their tickets with them when checking-in at the Registration Booth.

Please make sure you have tickets for every member in your group (including children under 10 who get in FREE!). Any day-of newcomers and other non-ticket holders will unfortunately need to be turned away.

Ticket Changes & Cancellation Policy

Attendees may request to change their walk time on their purchased ticket up to 3 days before the event. (August 26th, 2020 at 11:59PDT).

All Walkalong ticket purchases are fully refundable up to 14 days prior to the event. Ticket proceeds are forfeited for cancellations within 14 days of the event.

Every $30 donated brings one kid to Galiano to experience and connect with nature

Ticket purchases over $25 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. Please make sure to select this option in the ticket Checkout if you would like a tax receipt.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

Walkalong attendees are responsible for reading and for understanding the following COVID-19 safety measures (listed #1-10) before they attend the event:

To reduce risks of exposure to COVID-19, all Walkalong attendees are responsible for:

  1. Staying at home if they:
    • Are feeling unwell or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (eg. fever, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, dry cough, weakness etc.) within 14 days of the event.
    • Have been ordered to quarantine or self-isolate by a health authority or provincial/federal health order within 14 days of the event.
    • Have traveled outside of Canada within 14 days of the event.
    • Have reason to believe they have been exposed to COVID-19 within 14 days of the event.
  2. Agreeing to take and honestly answer COVID-19 Screening Questions at the Registration Booth (see Section 9. of Walkalong COVID-19 Safety Measures Document for more information)
  3. Coming to and leaving the Millard Learning Centre within the walk time that is indicated on their ticket stub and/or as directed by GCA staff/board and Walkalong volunteers on the day of the event.
  4. Following COVID-19 and other safety measure instructions provided by GCA staff/board and Walkalong volunteers and by signage displayed at the Millard Learning Centre.
  5. Maintaining 2m distance from other Walkalong attendees, GCA staff/board and Walkalong volunteers while at the Millard Learning Centre.
  6. Practicing good hygiene by washing and/or sanitizing their hands often especially before and after eating and drinking and after using the washroom.
  7. Practicing good respiratory etiquette such as covering coughs and sneezes, coughing/sneezing into your elbow and disposing of used tissues properly.
  8. Reporting to a GCA first aid attendant or an onsite volunteer emergency service provider (NGVFD member) if they are feeling unwell or develop COVID-19 symptoms while they are attending the event.
  9. Informing a health authority that they have attended the Walkalong if they are being tested for COVID-19 after the event.
  10. Informing the GCA executive director that they have tested positive for COVID-19 after attending the Walkalong event.
