Make A Difference Week

Wetlandkeepers and MAD Week Volunteer Events

Did you know?  June 1 to 9 is international Make a Difference Week in support of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration!  To celebrate, the Galiano Conservancy is hosting volunteer events on June 6 and 7 at the Millard Learning Centre.  To join us, register at the link below.

We’ve also teamed up with the BCWF Wetlands Education Program to offer a free Wetlandkeepers workshop from June 7 to 9 at our classroom facility.  Space is limited to 25 participants, so register soon!

Restoring the Chrystal Creek Watershed

After five years of dedicated work, we’ve finally restored natural hydrology to the entirety of the 26 ha Chrystal Creek watershed at the Millard Learning Centre. The ecosystem is now on a solid pathway to recovery, with Species at Risk already using the new wetlands to breed!
