Join us on March 14th in the Food Forest for the first of an exciting series of Food Forest Saturdays!
We will be creating a Biochar burn together. Biochar is a way of transforming “waste” material such as pruned branches into nutrient rich material that improves soil health– and it reduces atmospheric release of carbon! Learn more at this free event for all ages, led by Cedana our Sustainable Food Systems coordinator.
Snacks and Forest Garden tea will be provided…and we might even have some marshmallows to roast over the kiln!
Please RSVP to cedana.bourne@galianoconservancy.ca, and stay tuned for more Food Forest Saturdays in the coming months.
