Take a slow walk through the forest and rediscover the stories that live just beneath your feet. Join Knowledge Holder Marya Luby for a guided Medicine Walk through the Galiano Conservancy’s Nuts’a’maat Forage Forest, a living classroom of native plants, relationships, and reciprocity.
Together, we’ll explore the rich understory that sustains the forest: the medicines, foods, and teachings found in the plants that quietly hold the ecosystem in balance. Marya will share insights about respectful harvesting, Indigenous perspectives on land stewardship, and the natural rhythms that connect people and place.
This gentle outdoor experience is part of the Restoring the Balance project, which supports Indigenous stewardship and cultural learning across Galiano’s landscapes. Whether you come with curiosity, gratitude, or simply a love of the forest, this walk offers space to listen, learn, and reconnect with the living world.
