The Galiano Conservancy Association is partnering with Ocean Wise to host a Whale Bio Blitz on Galiano Island!
On World Orca Day, July 14th, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at Beach Access #17, Zuker Beach, join our land-based educational whale-spotting event and learn about whale conservation and species ID. Don’t forget to register to win a raffle prize!
Land-based whale watching is an inclusive and non-invasive way to collect important information about the whales in our waters. Whale Blitz participants will have the chance to learn species ID skills, contribute to citizen science, and hopefully spot some marine mammals in their natural habitats!

Zuker Beach is in Georgeson Bay, overlooking Active Pass, just before the Mt. Galiano Trailhead!
Parking is available at the Mt. Galiano Trailhead parking lot.
