Program Fees

Accompanying adults on field trips are free of charge. Please note, program fees do not include food or ferry fares. Our bus can be rented if you require on-Galiano transportation.

Single Day Programs – $32/participant

All single day programs, all one price! Join us on Galiano for the day and choose from our many one day programs including Marine Investigations, Future of Food, Coastal Forests of Pebble Beach and more!

Overnight Programs

Our Backcountry Experience and Renewable Energy in Action education programs have overnight options.

Backcountry Experience (3 days, 2 nights) – $149/ participant

Renewable Energy in Action (2 days, 1 night) – $99/ participant

Customizable Overnight Programs

Extend your learning experience on Galiano over multiple days. Choose from any of our single day programs and sleep overnight at the Millard Learning Centre. Perfect for classes looking to learn a variety of topics. Give your students the best-ever social-bonding experience – a fun, class sized sleepover!

1 day, 1 night – $59/participant

2 days, 1 night – $99/ participant

2 days, 2 nights – $119/participant

3 days, 2 nights – $149/ participant

Overnight program fees cover the cost of day(s) of education programming and the cost of renting the Millard Learning Centre campground and classroom. Bus Transportation Fee

Bus transportation on Galiano: $190/ round-trip*

A round-trip includes transportation from Sturdies Bay ferry terminal to your program location and back. Our bus can accommodate up to 54 small students (3 to a seat) or 36 teenagers/ adults (2 to a seat).

Payment Policy

We understand that the on-going COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our participants in many different ways and that trip plans can change rapidly. Please contact us if you have any questions or issues with our payment and cancellation policies. 

K-12/ Post-Secondary Program Deposit:
To secure your program date, a 20% deposit payment must be received within 14 days of being sent an invoice by a GCA staff member.  Beyond the 14 days, if no deposit is paid, it is possible that your program date(s) may be given away. Please contact us if you are unable to pay a deposit. 

K-12/ Post-Secondary Program Final Payment and Group Size Changes:
Final payments must be paid on or before your program start date. We accept changes to group size up to 3 days prior to your program start date. 

Ticketed Adult Workshops:
Payments for your event or workshop are due on the start date of your workshop. 

Education-Related Rentals (GCA Bus, Millard Learning Centre Campground, GCA Rentable Camping Equipment):
Education related rentals are supplementary to program and workshop fees and can be made by request. Payments are due on the start date of your program or workshop. 

Accepted Payment Types:
We accept cash, cheques or credit card payments. Please note that all credit card payments are subject to a 2.2% credit card processing fee (Stripe fee). If you would like to pay.

Cancellation Policy

If YOU need to cancel 

All program payments, workshop tickets and education-related rentals are fully refundable up to two weeks prior to your program start date. 

For cancellations within the two-week period: 
K-12 and post-secondary programs: Your 20% deposit will be forfeited for cancellations within two weeks of your program start date. Any amounts additional to your 20% deposit will be reimbursed for cancellations within two weeks of your program start date.

Education-related Rentals: All payments will be forfeited for cancellations within two weeks prior to your program or workshop. 

Ticketed Adult Workshops: All payments will be forfeited for cancellations within two weeks of your workshop start date. 

If WE need to cancel

We reserve the right to refuse new bookings and cancel existing bookings for educational program delivery and education-related rentals at any time. 

If we need to cancel your booking we will: 

  • Notify you as soon as possible via the contact information you have provided us with and
  • Give you the option to either: 
    • Defer all program, ticket or rental payments for a later booking or 
    • Refund all program, ticket or rental payments fully
