When you become a member of the GCA, you become part of our family. We treasure every one of you, and we love seeing the familiar faces of our friends, neighbours, community members and island visitors. Whether you visit us at the Millard Learning Centre, chat with us at the Saturday Market, or attend one of our events, you are always welcome!

We are dedicated to keeping you informed about how we use your membership fees and donations. We regularly share our work through monthly newsletters, updates on Facebook and Instagram, and blog posts on our website. Each year, we proudly highlight our achievements and future plans in our Annual Report, Stewardship News, Activity Reports, and press releases.

The Power of Your Membership

Your membership is vital, not only for the direct support it provides but also for its impact on our ability to secure grants. A strong membership base shows funders that we have deep roots in the community. Your support strengthens our grant applications and helps us to continue and expand our important work.

How to Join

Pick the payment option that’s most convenient for you:

  • Use the form below to make a donation.
  • Mail a cheque to: Galiano Conservancy Association, 10825 Porlier Pass Rd., Galiano Is., BC, V0N 1P0 (please include the names, membership type and email addresses of all members).
  • Visit us at any Conservancy event or at the Galiano Saturday Market (summer season only).
  • Send an e-transfer to membership@galianoconservancy.ca. Please remember to include the names, membership type and email addresses of all joining members.

What is included in your membership

As a Member in Good Standing, You Receive:

  • Conservancy publications such as our annual Stewardship News, monthly newsletter and Annual Report
  • Invitations to members-only special events and guest speakers
  • Voting rights as an Association member (some restrictions may apply based on membership type – please refer to Types of Memberships section below)
  • The satisfaction of knowing you support a great organization and make a real difference for nature

Types of Memberships

  • Regular membership – $10: Galiano landowner or resident for 6+ months (aged 16 or older)
  • Associate membership – $10: Non-resident or resident for less than 6 months who does not own property on Galiano (aged 16 or older); cannot vote on special resolutions
  • Junior membership – $2: Youth under 16; not eligible to vote at AGM, but can join and vote on committees
  • Corporate membership – $10: Corporation/business holding property on Galiano; equivalent to regular membership 
  • Associate Corporate membership: Corporation/business not holding property on Galiano; authorized representative cannot vote on special resolutions
  • Family memberships are also available. To purchase yours, please contact membership@galianoconservancy.ca.
