A group of students from the Collège Sainte-Anne – secondaire Lachine recently visited Galiano and the Millard Learning Centre to explore the impact of developing a deeper connection to nature on the environment. A few staff members and volunteers from the Galiano Conservancy are featured in this short 10 minute film. The students share their findings in this lovely video, and provide an introduction to the recent government initiative, Park Prescription (AKA PaRx), which was launched in 2020 and empowers health practitioners to prescribe time in nature to their patients, in order to optimize their mental and physical health.
