Make a Difference Week – Volunteer Restoration Day at Zuker Shore Access

Zuker Shore Access Restoration Day –
Sunday, June 13th, 10am – 2pm
 
Help Make a Difference in this Bramble Blitz! We are restoring native pollinator habitat by removing a swathe of invasive Himalayan blackberry, which will open up space for the restoration of a native riparian plant community.

Who: The Galiano Island Parks and Recreation Commission, in partnership with the Galiano Conservancy Association and the University of Victoria Restoration of Natural Systems Program. 
 
What: Bramble Blitz: removing a swath of Himalayan blackberry to help create habitat for native plant-pollinator communities at Zuker Shore Access.
 
Where: Zuker Shore Access (# 17) on Active Pass Drive
 
When: Sunday June 6th 10:00am–2:00pm
 
Bring: Tough work clothes, gloves, water; some snacks will be provided
