Make a Difference Week – Volunteer Restoration Day in the Chrystal Creek Watershed

Chrystal Creek Watershed Restoration Day – Friday, June 11th, 10am – 2pm

The Chrystal Creek at the Galiano Conservancy’s Millard Learning Centre once supported majestic, old-growth western redcedar forests and swamps, but over a century of forestry and agriculture use has left it in a degraded and diminished state.

Over the next 5 years, the GCA will be restoring wetlands and native forests throughout the watershed, and we need your help!

Join us in removing debris from over a century of human occupation from the site in anticipation of a full site restoration in the fall.

To register, please email restoration@galianoconservancy.ca
