Why Work at the Conservancy?

The Galiano Conservancy Association offers diverse, fulfilling and meaningful work. We love what we do, and we believe in our mission. Here is what we offer:

Collaborative Team

We believe in creating a collaborative atmosphere, where everyone’s input is not only welcome, it is necessary for the well-being of our organization. It is one of the main reasons why our team is so engaged and motivated, knowing we all have a voice at the table.

Flexibility

We strive to provide a flexible work environment which fits both the demands of the organization and the needs of our people. Several of our positions include a mix of office and field work, with some opportunities for remote work, when the position allows.

Work With Impact

Working at the Conservancy means knowing that our work contributes directly to creating a better, healthier planet and community. This is a meaningful mission, which fulfills us every single day. Giving back to the land that sustains us truly is the ultimate reward!

Competitive Wages and Benefits

The Conservancy strives to maintain salary levels that are appropriate within the land trust movement, subject to available funding. We also offer a shared-cost (50/50) extended health benefits plan.

Career Development

The Galiano Conservancy has become a leader for conservation, restoration, education and climate action in our region. Our team of experts is dedicated to sharing knowledge and sparking curiosity. The methods we employ are evidence-based and current. Come spend some time with us to see for yourself!

Healthy Work Environment

The expansive Millard Learning Centre is an ideal base of operations for staff, with ever-improving facilities and an extensive trail network and beach access, where we can clear our head when we need it. It is also an environment where we are mindful of wasted energy and resources, which feels really good, at the end of the day!
